Dubai World Expo 2021
World Expos are one of the oldest and largest international events on the planet and take place every five years. Expo 2021 will be the Middle East’s first world’s fair. It is a festival for all, where everyone can experience, explore, innovate, and have fun by sharing ideas and working together. We’re talking eye-catching, mind-bending, taste bud-tickling, grin-inducing, good-weird, did-that-really-just-happen fun.
Day 1: Dubai
Upon arrival at the Dubai International airport, you will be transferred to the 5-star JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai. Soaring high above Sheikh Zayed Road, our hotel is one of the tallest in the world and boasts awe-inspiring views of the water and cityscape.
To give everyone a chance to arrive and adapt to the new time zone, no activities are planned today. You can enjoy a swim in the heated outdoor pool or a refreshing workout in the fitness center before visiting the hotel’s Spa. We will get together for a meet and greet and optional dinner tonight.
Day 2: Dubai – Old Town and Miracle Garden
After breakfast we will be accompanied by our local guide for a fabulous morning discovering Dubai’s Old Town, home to traditional markets, authentic meals and cultural experiences. A ride on a wooden Abra boat across scenic Dubai Creek takes us to the historical quarter of Al Bastakiya, dating back to the 19th century and is the oldest residential quarter in Dubai. We will tour around the maze-like streets to admire the original architecture of this neighborhood established by merchants. The buildings are completed with wind towers that illustrate an era before air conditioning. Explore the 225-year old Fort Al Fahidi which houses the Dubai Museum including rare authentic monuments, antique pottery, weapons, local boat models and bamboo houses with traditional furniture.
