JUNE 1st – 5th 2017

There are many things to do in Niagara Falls and the area.  We include adventuresome trips to Niagara Falls, Niagara River, Dufferin Islands, Niagara on the Lake, and multiple side trips.

Niagara Falls is one of the natural wonders of the world.  We provide seeing the Falls so up close you feel the mist.  You are taken in front, under, and behind the falls.  Enjoy as well the fun multi-sensory experience showing the formation and history of the Horseshoe, American, and Bridal Veil Falls.  We’ll see the rainbow (always present between noon and sunset) on the Canadian side too. Fireworks over the Falls and Ferris Wheel viewing the Falls are a few of the many additional activities.

Niagara River portion of the trip includes a Whirlpool Jet Boat Ride on the River or Antique Cable Car ride over the River.  There is a walk along the river and woods too.  An additional activity can be a Zipline viewing the Falls on the way down.

Dufferin Islands include beautiful easy walking trails and foot bridges connecting the islands. Visiting Niagara Glen with ideal steep and rugged trails for hikers is also another option.

Niagara on the Lake is a picturesque destination with wine tours, walking trails, carriage rides, and festivals. The 19th century village has many upscale restaurants, elegant architecture, world class theatre, charming inns, historical sites, boutique shopping, and decadent spas.  Biking, walking and driving are all excellent ways to explore this area.  There are many wine tasting tours, including the famous Ice Wine, or you can get a map and go on your own.  Niagara on the Lake is located only 20 minutes away from Niagara Falls on the Canadian side.

Canada attractions include Safari, Buddhist Temple, Biotanical Gardens, Bird and Butterfly Sanctuaries, Karaoke, Magic Shows, Theatre, Casinos, and Nightlife.

Fly or drive to Buffalo, NY.  We will meet at a designated time in the morning at the airport and transferred to our Canadian hotel with a view of Niagara Falls, Sheraton on The Falls, for our 2 night stay.  During lunch, we will discuss the activities for the next 2 days.  I will be purchasing Adventure passes for the activities, so let me know in advance if you aren’t participating in any of the included activities.  There are different packages.  We will have bus passes, yet many activities are in walking distance from our beautiful hotel.

After lunch, get ready for one of the most refreshing and memorable experiences, a Whirlpool Jet Boat Ride on the Niagara River.  Enjoy a one hour speed ride upriver into the Niagara Gorge and through the Devil’s Hole Rapids.  The other activity to choose would be the Whirlpool Aero Car (antique cable car) over the panoramic Niagara River.  After this ride, you will have free time to explore the town and visit any of the attractions in the area, (Clifton Hill, Lundy’s Lane, etc.).  Our hotel has a spa, pool, sauna and exercise room.  We will meet for a group dinner at a wonderful Canadian restaurant.  Afterwards, there are many nightlife activities on my list, including the Niagara Casino.

After breakfast, we will go on the following tours: Journey behind the FallsHorn Blower Cruise, and Niagara Fury.  Be amazed at the thrilling views of the falls in the tunnels below and behind the falls when you go to Journey behind the Falls.  The Horn Blower is a legendary ½ hour boat ride to experience the Falls up close with their thundering water and amazing mist.  Niagara’s Fury is a multi-sensory 360 degree immersive experience of the Falls and its history.  We will then pick up picnic lunches and meet our private guide at the hotel.  Our next stop is to take the beautiful Niagara Highway to the Dufferin Islands.  This area features 10 acres of paradise with easy walking trails that wind through small islands connected by foot bridges.  This is a perfect spot for a picnic and seeing the spring colors.  If there is time we will also stop by the Niagara Glenn, a unique spot of beauty, deep in the Great Gorge that has been a designated nature reserve since 1992.  The terrain here is steep and rugged for hikers.  After spending some time here exploring and eating our lunch, we will go back to our hotel to relax, swim, and enjoy the hot tub or whatever you wish.  Tonight I will make reservations at a restaurant for our group, unless you choose to go on your own.  I will provide you with a list of restaurants, as well as nightlife spots.

There are many places you may choose to go this morning on your own (list provided).   By 12:00, we will drive and check into the beautiful vintage Pillar and Post Inn and Spa in Niagara on the Lake.  Enjoy walking around, exploring town, the pool or fabulous spa treatments.  Treatments will need to be reserved in advance.  Dinner at a classic restaurant in town or our hotel.

Today is an optional day.  I have included a full day wine and lunch tour.  This fun packed and educational full day will take you through the best wineries Niagara has to offer.  From the hidden gem smaller boutique wineries to the larger wineries, you will leave with an appreciation of the Niagara Wine Region.  You will taste the famous Ice Wine, see the largest underground barrel center and enjoy a gourmet lunch at a 5 diamond restaurant.  You can also choose to do this by bike or with a tour guide.  You also have the option of just relaxing at the Pillar and Post Inn’s fabulous spa or visit another the spa nearby.
