The Southwest USA is the most geographically diverse region in the United States and contains the largest collection of the world’s natural wonders. This creation of scenery has an infinite beauty that is hard to imagine, much less comprehend. At every turn, there is a variety of color, scenic views, canyons, mountains, rivers, rocks, cliffs, spirals, monuments and rivers that beckon you to enjoy this adventure in your own unique manner. Photographs cannot do justice to this amazing landscape – you must witness it in person!

ITINERARY

Day 1: Las Vegas

Fly into Las Vegas and take a shuttle to the Hard Rock Hotel. We will meet in the lobby at 7:00 for a group dinner or perhaps a prearranged show. (We will email you 60 days in advance to let you know the show choices and cost). Of course, you can just take this opportunity to explore the Las Vegas strip on your own.

Day 2: Las Vegas to Zion National Park

Our journey begins in the morning, where you will be met by your guide and embark on a short 2 ½ hour journey to Zion National Park. On the way, we will stop at Kolob Canyon and walk to the Timber Creek overlook. Then we will go into Zion National Park. Enjoy a scenic drive visiting the major lookout points in the park with photo stops at these overlooks and opportunities for short walks for more stunning views. See sites like the Great White Throne, Court of the Patriarch’s, and the Emerald Pools. We will then check into our hotel, the Best Western Plus. Enjoy a group dinner (included) at a local restaurant with the group.

Day 3: Zion National Park

The Emerald pools is one of Zion’s sweetest signature trails and easy and fun to hike for everyone. You will get to explore beautiful waterfalls and pools. Other hikes include: advanced Angel’s Landing, Virgin River Narrows, Riverside Walk, Parus Trail, Watchman’s Trail or moderate Weeping Rock Trail to observation Point. The word Zion has an ancient Hebrew meaning-a place of refuge In the late afternoon, we will drive to the edge of Bryce Canyon National Park, a short 2 hour drive and experience western hospitality at Ruby’s Best Western Inn located in Bryce Canyon City, Utah.

Day 4: Bryce Canyon National Park

After a delicious breakfast, we will drive to Bryce Canyon. We will enjoy a scenic drive through the park and stop at several breathtaking viewing places: Fairyland Park, Inspiration Point and the Natural Bridge. Then we will witness the incredible rock formations called” Hoodoos” which are unique to Bryce. The Hoodoos are whimsical rock which have been eroded into surreal spires. Then, there will be time for various optional activities such as hikes (short hike to Mossy Cave), horseback riding or you can choose to go to our hotel to relax and enjoy the pool. For the people who want to hike, you will be picked at a designated time.

In the late afternoon drive to Capitol Reef Park. On the way, we will travel past soaring cliffs and plateaus overlooking open plains as you journey across the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Visit the Calf Creek Recreation Area before following the Hogback stretch of Scenic Highway 12, which takes you on top of a high stone ridge as the land falls away on both sides ofthe road. Known to the ancient Indians as the Land of the Sleeping Rainbow, this park is a symphony in stone. This area is rugged and isolated. You will have the opportunity to view original homestead locations of the early Mormon Settlers and orchids now preserved within the park. Retire for the evening in Torrey, Utah at the Broken Spur Inn.

Day 5: Capitol Reef National Park

Stops at Hickman Bridge, Cohab Canyon, Cassidy Arch, Chimney Rock, or Sulphur Creek (Before Highway 12) Afterwards,we will have an enjoyable time in Moab, Utah, where you will stay at the Marriott Fairfield Inn for the next two nights.

Day 6: Arches and Canyonlands

Walk as ants in Arches National Park, which is host to the greatest density of natural arches in the world. Walk through the world of the world’s most famous arch, Delicate Arch, seen on Utah’s license plate; to the world’s largest natural arch, Landscape Arch. There is plenty of hiking in Arches, easy and medium, suited for several fitness levels

In the afternoon, you will enjoy Canyonlands National Park and see why Mesa Arch is one of the most photographed arches in all the Western USA. Also, views of Grand Viewpoint, Green River Overlook, an Ancestral Pueblo granary, and others make it a full afternoon and evening. Afterwards, spend another night in Moab and go into town for a delicious dinner.

Day 7: Moab to Monument Valley to Lake Powell

After breakfast, we will drive to Monument Valley which is instantly recognized as the sweeping backdrop of the classic Southwest Monument Valley has been chosen for the setting of over 16 major motion pictures, including She Wore a Yellow Ribbon, as well as countless commercials, making it easily one of the most beautiful and legendary landscapes in the world. Then hike Horseshoe Bend on the Colorado River. Then we will drive to Page, Arizona (Lake Powell) with more incredible stops along the way. Our hotel for the night is the La Quinta.

Day 8: Antelope Canyon and Lake Powell National Recreation Area

We will then drive through the Navajo Indian Lands to Antelope Canyon. Some people overlook Antelope Canyon because it is not a national or state park. However, Antelope Canyon is instantly recognized as one of the most photographed slot canyons in the American Southwest. It’s narrow passages, curves, hollows and occasional shafts of radiating sunlight piercing through the soft colors and shadows are unsurpassed in breathtaking tranquility. Pictures do not do this canyon justice-you must see if for yourself! We will be touring this magnificent place with a local Navajo Indian Guide.

In the afternoon, you will have the option of a boat ride on Lake Powell to the Rainbow Bridge,or if feeling adventurous, you can choose to kayak instead. Tonight we will spend another night in our wonderful accommodations in Page.

Day 9: Grand Canyon National Park, North Rim

Worthy of its rank as one of the seven natural wonders of the world, the Grand Canyon overwhelms the senses and captivates the imagination with its spectacular combination of incredible scale, dramatic views, awe-inspiring rock formations and untamed beauty. Of the five million visitors to the Grand Canyon, only 10% get to experience the rugged solitude of the North Rim. Fabulous dinner included along with your stay at the Jacob Lake Inn.

Day 10: Back to Las Vegas from the Grand Canyon

After breakfast, we will enjoy a 3 hour drive back to Las Vegas and take you to the airport for your ride home.  ***Note: Book your flights for noon or later.
