We will focus on the old town which is divided into four old districts. The center is connected by two hearts, the meeting point of Piazza Yenne and the monumental Bastione building with its enormous panoramic square, and a privileged lookout point over the town. The guided tour will have a very relaxing pace.
During the tour, we can stop having an Aperitif or lunch and tour presentation.
We will meet in the hotel lobby to walk over to our included group dinner around 7:30 PM at the elegant Antica Cagliari, with a fixed menu with a variety to choose from.

The hospitality of the Moreno’s will move you. The location looks like a postcard, with the house overlooking the vineyards from the top of a slope

Day 3: Orosei Gulf Adventure
After breakfast (around 10AM) we will commence on a full-day cruise to explore the mesmerizing coves and inlets of the Orosei Gulf, immersing yourself in its beauty. With at least 3 stopovers to snorkel or swim, experience the hidden gems of this beautiful area. We will have time to explore a sea grotto as well. You will be astonished at the colors. Nuraghe Mannu visit Before dinner at 6:45 PM, we will drive to an important archaeological site, a majestic Nuraghe, a typical building originating in the Bronze Age (1600-900 BC). Excavations have produced a notable quantity of Nuragic pottery, among which are cooking pans, jars, etc. The visit will let us discover this extremely evolved civilization that lived in Sardinia 3000-4000 years ago.
Agriturismo Codula Fuili After the visit we will go to a farm (Agriturismo) for a great dinner featuring all local products. It will be a feast of handmade pasta, tomatoes, zucchini, eggplants, carrots, roasted pig and a huge selection of cheeses and cold cuts. This is an included in dinner and they will also serve wine.
Day 4: A day With The Shepards
TBarbagia is the home of fierce, proud, yet hospitable people, and we will have an immersive day in the most authentic rural life of Sardinia.
Our adventure starts with a Jeep drive to the mountains, here we’ll hike into a sacred landscape surrounded by ancestral silences and the smell of the Sardinian wild herbs.
After the hike we’ll have lunch in a shepherd hut, all is freshly prepared for us, and again it’s a celebration of local food. After lunch, we’ll drive to the village of Orgosolo, a quintessential shepherd community of Sardinia with its quite proud history to be discovered through the murals covering the walls of its houses. The muralism tradition belongs to many Sardinian villages, but in Orgosolo it became part of the local identity. It all started in the ‘69, when the whole community rebelled against the Italian central government that wanted to set a military base in the public lands of the village. The locals occupy those lands in the countryside, thus defeating the military.
After a challenging day, this is the perfect night for dinner on your own.
Day 5: Cala Gonone -Costa Smerelda-the Emerald Coast
Today has many great stops. After breakfast our first stop will be the Ispinigole Grotto (Cave), where we can walk around and explore. On our second stop, we will discover the beaches of the Orosei coastline, as they say in Sardinia- we will start “Breathing” the vast spaces. Every beach is a treasure, and today we will spend some time on one beach where we can rent chairs and umbrellas and relax. After lunch by the sea, we will keep driving North to Costa Smeralda, the most glamorous and luxurious region of Sardinia. First, we will go to the most well-known town of Cervo to walk around and shop. We will pass other towns like Cannigione and San Paolo, which is on the way to the town we will be staying in called Santa Theresa. This village has the best-preserved authenticity. It has a delightful central square surrounded by colorful Mediterranean houses. The village is set on the top of a small hill. Also stop at Roccia dell Orfso (Bear Rock) We will check into our new hotel where we will sat the next two nights – Hotel Corallano and have free time for the night and dinner, Included dinner

Day 6: La Maddalena Archipelago Boat Tour

Picture yourself exploring Maddalena Archipelago on a boat tour, amidst one of the world’s most beautiful locations. As we sail to the islands, we can swim to several solitary beaches on the other islands, feeling almost like Tom Hanks in Castaway. Be prepared, this is nature at its purest level, do not expect sunbeds, umbrellas or bars. It’s just you and the pristine beauty. You are free to swim and snorkel. And why not indulge in seafood and a wonderful lunch while on board?
On the way back, we will have time to stop in La Maddalena, the only village of the archipelago. It has quite the history, being founded by Corsicans, Shepards and Fisherman coming from Italy mainland.
Dinner on own
Day 7: From Gallora-Costa Smerelda to Alghero
After breakfast, we will check out of our hotel and drive inland to the Gallura region. Today, as we head inland across the element shaped landscapes of Gallura, we will be amazed by the cork oak trees bent by the mistral wind and by the incredibly granite rock formations looking like pieces of art. Our first stop will be the village of Aggius with granite houses, tiles and the Museum of Bandits. Another beautiful stop will be the scenic village of Castelsardo, with a medieval castle on the top of a mountain range.
Easy, included quick lunch today
After lunch, we’ll keep driving west, our destination is the fascinating Alghero with its strong Catalan heritage. We may have time to explore its bustling city center, celebrating the day with an apéritif on the bastons. Tonight, we will check into our home for the next three nights-Hotel Calabona.
Group dinner tonight or on your own
Day 8: Alghero
Alghero blends Italian and Catalan influences, creating a unique cultural infusion. In the morning after breakfast, you can also choose to explore at your own pace by wandering through the enchanting old town, where you can admire the medieval city walls and the beautiful Catalan Gothic Arch of the Cathedral of Santa Maria. Take a relaxing walk along the scenic Lungomare-enjoying views of the sea and ancient defensive towers. For a taste of the local culture, visit the vibrant Piazza Civica and explore the lively markets for fresh seafood and unique Sardinian crafts. Famous for its coral, which in the local manufacturing, art is combined with gold for a happy artistic union. The best red coral demonstration is at La Corallina. Also, you must go to Antonio Marras shop. He’s among the best Italian designers and he is from Alghero. Our guide will tell you all the places that you can choose from. For those who want a more guided tour our guides will be more than happy to tag along. We can have lunch in one of the many places in town and will meet up at the assigned time to go to Neptunes Grotto. (around 5:30 PM)
Among the cliffs hanging over the sea of Cap Caccia, there is one of the most charming jewels of Mediterranean nature, a place to visit once in a lifetime admiring its beauty and enchantment. Neptunes Cave alternates halls, galleries, tunnels, majestic stalagmites and stalactites, surrounded by a lake. We strongly recommend descending the 637 steps taking you to the entrance of the Grottos, instead of the boat, because on the western coastline of Sardinia, the sea is often choppy, and the boat isn’t an “ecofriendly” solution. The fuel exhausts affect the grotto. The steps are very mild, and it’s more a promenade than a proper hike. We’ll buy the tickets in advance, and there are visits every other hour. Along the way we will also stop at the Tombs of Anghelu Rujo.
Dinner on own or group (will give recommendations)
Day 9: Alghero to Bosa
After breakfast, we leave Alghero along the fascinating road to Bosa at 9 AM. The drive itself is the experience. We will stop for views. Bosa with its colorful houses spread on the slope of the hill dominated by its imposing medieval castle.
Now it is time for included wine tasting/apertif of Malvasia wine. (Light lunch) A great place is “Mondovino” of Cantina Battista Columbu winemakers family. Vanna leads the wine tastings covering not just the wine itself, but the whole culture related to it. We can climb to the castle after lunch.
On the way back to the hotel, we will stop at one more famous Nuraghe- Nuraghe di Torralba Santa Antine.
Then we will have some time to rest before our included farewell dinner cooking class at Bastanis’ Home.
